Interactive Information

All objects on the graph represent information. Snowpro uses Tool Tips technology to allow the user to interactively query this information easily and accurately. To access the information on any object, the user simply places the mouse cursor over the object. The specific information for the object will be displayed in a popup box. There may also be information on how to perform  advanced operations on the objects. For example you may size a snow layer, hide an object, toggle the hardness modifier, etc. Sample 2 shows this.

Sample 1 shows the mouse cursor over a temperature point. In this case the temperature is shown to be -5.5 degrees at height 13 cm. above the ground. Note that the information is also available in the bottom status line. This is due to the preference option which allows you to disable tool tips (for very busy screens). In that way the information is still available.

When you are originally placing the object on the graph (i.e. snow temperature point), the value will be displayed in the bottom status line and will change as you move the object around the graph. When you get to the correct location you simply release the mouse button and the object is placed at that location.
